Weekend Bits

My DSLR spontaneously declined to work this weekend, and instead delegated the task of documenting my weekend to its second in command, the thrifted film Pentax camera. A very good job it did too during my lovely weekend indulging in the sights and sounds of Elephant and Castle. Ok so don't take the piss just yet, bear with me and let me set the scene... First a bargain hunting visit to Walworth Road charity shops, always good for flowery pillowcases and old books. Next fight your way through East Street Market, good for veggies, fabric and not much else (unless you have a penchant for unfeasibly large pants). And finally, soothe your soul in the urban paradise that is Burgess Park. Go for a jog, feed the ducks on the lake and grab a coffee in the Burgess Park Cafe, complete with every vegan's must have cafe accessory, soy milk. SE17, I love you.

  1. I'm always on the look out for new places to purchase unfeasibly large pants from - SE17 :0)

Looks like you've had a very sunny weekend, which you've captured beautifully in your photos.

I've tried to leave comments on your previous posts, but I've been experiencing difficulties with Blogger recently - all seems to be OK now, thank goodness.

    Wishing you a lovely week

  2. Lovely pics! Hard to believe we're in Autumn now, it's still nice and bright out. I'd never heard of Burgess Park but just realised it's only half an hour away from where I live. Must check it out soon! x
